Freshen Up for Fall (Mellow Yellow) | Nora Eckler
Wow, it has been a minute! Y'all, I promise I am going to get better with frequency... Thank you for sticking with me while I try to figure this whole blog thing out! Anyways, I am SO excited to launch my new series, "Freshen Up for Fall!" Throughout this series, I plan to get us into the fall spirit by featuring different trends/basics in fashion, makeup, and home decor. After all, it's like, three days away whether you like it or not. "Freshen Up for Fall" will be featured on both my blog here, and on Youtube. So get ready for some fall fun!
A huge trend this season, and basically every season, is incorporating burnt yellows and oranges into your fall wardrobe. I mean, what's fall without making yourself look like a leaf? I personally LOVE this trend. If you're anything like me, you probably don't like to step outside of your neutral bubble. However, burnt leaf-type shades are a great way to step outside of our comfort zones without fully diving into the land of pastels.
I love a good basic everyday look, so these turtlenecks from Forever 21 practically had my name written on the front. I bought them in four different shades since they will be perfect to wear throughout the season alone or layered. I usually tuck in a majority of my tops to give myself the illusion of longer legs, (Fellow shorties, you know what I mean! The struggle!), but you can wear them in whatever way makes you comfortable! (Shop them here: http://bit.ly/2yokRUa)
The contrast of burnt yellow and dark brown is super pretty. These loafers by Cole Haan give this look a laid-back-Autumn-Sunday-in-the-park type of vibe (Shop similar here: http://bit.ly/2xNKcJU), and this bag, (Shop similar here: http://bit.ly/2w5BC4L), by Michael Kors is my go-to this time of year. I love the FAKE crocodile pattern, and it pairs beautifully with my shoes.
I'm a December baby, so obviously I have to rock my birthstone this time of year! I love the subtle pop of color this necklace gives the look... and the best part? It's locally made right here in Nashville, TN. Follow M.Florita on Instagram here: M.Florita Instagram... You won't be sorry!
That's all I have for today, y'all! Don't forget to check back here for the next Freshen Up for Fall post! Now go grab you a pumpkin spice latte and kick up some leaves because IT'S FALL, BABY! (Well, almost.)
